Rosa Rossa, Moscow, 2025.

The project was created for the interior of the Rosa Rossa author’s house in Khamovniki, commissioned by Dseesion bureau. For me, it is essential to work with space as a holistic environment, where artistic elements do not merely decorate architecture but are organically woven into it, becoming its integral part.

In today’s world, marked by historical turbulence, I turn my attention to the landscape — as a non-physical space saturated with meanings and contexts. The rhythm of lines in my work unfolds into a system of maps: they may evoke topographies, reliefs, or the movement of air masses, opening the space to the viewer for interpretation and personal experience.

This is a reflection on how maps, as abstract tools, influence our understanding of reality. We map the landscape around us, construct routes within this map, and begin to perceive the world through the framework we overlay upon it. What is striking is that each of us relies on our own unique experience when creating a personal system of orientation — in this way, the landscape, whether man-made or natural, becomes part of our identity.

In working with the environment, I sought to transform it into a living organism, where artistic elements interact with architecture. For me, it is important that the space does not merely surround the viewer, but opens itself to new possibilities for contemplation and dialogue.
