The Flickering, Moscow, 2025.

Series continues an exploration of the interrelations between the human, the natural, and the technological. Each work begins with a digitally distorted image — a glitch, which is then transferred onto a steel surface through chemical etching, turning digital error into material trace.

The contrast between the pixel’s structure and the organic reactions of metal, rust, and enamel creates a visual field where the digital and the physical coexist.
The Flicker observes a process in which technology becomes part of nature, and the image itself exists in a fragile balance between order and decay.

The image undergoes digital processing with a glitch effect, where distortions and “broken” pixels become the basis of the composition. These are then transferred onto a steel surface and etched chemically, transforming into a physical texture.
The tension between the cold precision of the pixel and the organic traces of corrosion, rust, and enamel creates a complex visual fabric within the work.
